ACT Testing

If you plan to attend a 4-year college, you will need to take the ACT test. Some colleges are requiring the ACT Plus Writing test, while others only require the ACT test. Check with colleges in which you are interested to see which test you will to take.  During the ’16-’17 school year, all juniors can take the ACT for free on April 19.  This is a new program through the MN Department of Education.  Students do not have to take this test, but it is a great opportunity if you need it.  We will also participate in some ACT test prep with other area schools before the test.

I recommended that Juniors take the ACT in April or June. This allows enough time for you to re-test, if needed, during June or September/October of your Senior year.  The April test will be given at RRC, but after that, the closest testing centers are in Redwood Falls, Marshall, Windom, or New Ulm.
